India First written in sanskrit by an anonymous brahman on year 200. Then translated to persian and adapted from persian to arab by Ibn al Muqafa on year 750. This animal tale collection named Kalila wa Dimna was meant to educate princes but its huge succes reached a much wider audience of literate people. Later in the 17th century, french poet La Fontaine translated some of them into french.
