Attention !!! here is The legendary traditionnal french dish :)
Onions 4 to 5
garlic one clove
butter 60 g
grated cheese 80 g
oil 3 tbsp
flour 1 tbsp
croutons (or bread slices )
water 1 litre
Recipe of french onion soup :
Slice the onions, chop the garlic clove and make brown the whole with the butter+oil mix.
Add the flour, stir well and pour the cold water in one time.
Stir and make it boil.
Sprinkle with grated cheese and serve with croutons.
You can also bake in the oven in individual ovenproof bowls, with a slice of bread coated with grated cheese on each bowl.
