Gombos with 7 Spices
Gombos with 7 Spices recipe

India This spicy recipe is usually served with basmati rice.

Ingredients :
400g okras (also called gombos)
2 tomatoes
3 boiled potatoes
3 tbsp lemon juice
10 cashew nuts
2 tbsp fresh chopped cilantro
2 tbsp vegetal oil
salt

7 spices :
1 tb sp of each : Curcuma, Cilantro, Cumin seeds, Cumin powder, Madras massala
1/2 tsp red chili powder (or less according to your preference)
1/2 tsp Cinnamon (optional)

Recipe of Gombos with 7 spices :
Wash okras and cut the tails.

Mix the 7 spices in a bowl, pour lemon juice on it and mix.
In a big pan : heat some oil and frie the spice-mix 3 min till fragrances combine together.
Add tomatoes dices, (entire but tailless) okras, cashew nuts and boiled potatoes slices.
Stir and add a cup of water and some salt
Simmer 15 to 20 min, adding water if needed
Decorate the dish with fresh chopped cilantro before serving
Serve with basmati rice.
