Argentina It's the infusion of the roasted grass (maté), that gives a dark brown drink. Maté is drunk chilled. This thirst-quenching bitter or sweet beverage is drunk with a fitering straw and a thermos flask. Maté is rich in Matein and tannins, vitamins A, B1, B2, C and K, iron, magnesium and phosphorus and is an excellent source of minerals and antioxidants. It combats mental and corporal tiredness, improve vigilance, strengthen memory and helps to reduce cholesterol level.
