Cuba How to dance Chachacha Latin couple dance whose name reminds the sound produced by the friction of dancers feet on the ground. It's a syncopated 4 count dance that spread coolness and joy. The basic step is a pas chassé followed by two slow steps on which several figures can be added. Chachacha, considered as the latine dance having the best ratio pleasure/learning, is ludic and relatively easy to learn. But difficulty comes related to the fact that steps are not marked over time but on the syncope. Many known musics have a chacha rhythm : Carlos Santana (Smooth, Corazon espinado, and Oye como va) , Jennyfer Lopez (Cariño and Let's get loud), Sade (Smooth Operator), the Rita Mitsouko (Marcia baila), Niagara (l'amour à la plage), Bourvil (Pepito mi corazon) etc. https://www.youtube.
